Hi! I'm Heidi Miller, and I'll be blogging here about presentations, new media and Web 2.0-y goodness. :-) For those who don't know, I'm a trade show spokesperson by day and an avid podcaster and blogger who also provides podcast coaching as well. I've also been an EWN member for nearly a year now, and I have to say that it is by far the best networking group I've ever joined!

So I'll be your blogging host about geekier topics, such as podcasting, blogging, Twitter, social media sites, email marketing and whatever new Web 2.0 stuff comes down the pike. And since I'm just a dumb user, I'll let you know if it's too tough for the average Jane to use and need to wait for the beta version to come out.

Ok, I just read this amazing article about Gender Sterotyping and how men perceive us in the work place could actually hender our ability to lead. Specifically (In a recent study released by Catalyst, the non-profit organization working to advance opportunities for women and business) They found Gender stereotyping, to be one of the key barriers to women’s advancement in corporate leadership, leaving women with limited, conflicting, and often unfavorable options no matter how they choose to lead.

WOW - I guess we can't change someone's perception, right? Or can we and how? What do you think? Have you found gender stereotyping an issue where you work?
